Hi all.

Been a clumsy b****r (not unusual) whilst changing a lens the other morning I nudged something on the camera body and this piece of plastic fell out. Googled this and it apears to be the focusing screen. Picks up dust for fun apparently. I watched a few videos and put it back in. I can confirm they do indeed pick up muck very easily. I removed it three times and tried to blow the muck away, to no avail. I have ordered a new one. I was wondering if this as happened to anyone on here and for any tips when replacing the new one when it arrives.

I replaced my standard focussing screen with the Eg-D precision matte one. Assuming the one you've ordered comes with the same stuff there is a little tool that comes with it and it's in a well designed box that means you don't have to touch either screen when you swap it. So if you're careful you should be able to get it in completely clean.

Have a look at the picture on the Amazon page to see what it looks like.
