Canon 64-bit Codec for Windows 7?

Although I tend to view most of my RAW files in Lightroom, sometimes I'd like to be able to view them in Windows Explorer or Windows Picture Viewer, just for convenience more than anything.

It seems as though Canon does not support x64 machines with their .CR2 codec. Does anyone know if there is a freeware codec out there that does?

Hi edster,

You need Fast Picture Viewer which is not strictly freeware but is donationware. If you use it and like it, you are meant to make a donation. Works great on my windows 7 laptop.

Nice one Jas, it seems to work a treat Will have a play and make a donation if it's a keeper.
