Is it possible to set a canon 60d to have the flash on a 'rear sync' setting? So that during a long exposure shot with flash on the flash will trigger at the end of the exposure as apposed to the beginning of the shot?

I've had a look and cant seem to find anything (also sorry if this isn't the appropriate section for this kind of question!

Thanks in advance

Menu -> Camera 1 (leftmost menu) -> Flash Control -> Built-in flash func. setting -> Shutter sync. -> choice of "1st curtain" or "2nd curtain"

(or same for External flash func. setting)

Yup, as hunnymonster has alluded to, 2nd curtain sync is what you want. This is generally what I set my internal flash and Speedlites to when possible, as it's more common that I want to get an object to show up in front of its light trail etc.
