Canon 600d & Yongnuo TTL flash compatibility

Hi, wonder if anyone has any knowledge, my nephew has recently delved into SLR phtography(good lad) and bought a Canon 600d, he is now after a TTL flash but doesnt have EX money so I suggested Yongnuo, but we cannot find and concrete info on whether they are compatible with the 600d and on one eBay list it stated not compatible... why would this be and can anyone help us find a TTL compatible Yongnuo that will be fully functional with the 600d.
