Yes
Hi, I've had my Canon 1000d for around three years and I think I'm starting to outgrow it.

I want to start shooting landscapes and water/beaches scenery.

Was thinking of upgrading to either the 600d or 60d. Although the 60d has a higher rate of frames I'm still not sure which one to go for.

Can anyone please offer any advice?

Thank you

I currently have the 60D, it is a great camera for the everday photographer as it has all modes needed for less educated photographers and also capabilities for pros. Haven't had a problem with it however if you can spare another £200 i'd go for the 7D, however the 60D is still an amazing camera

i have the 600d, and for some reason i always question why i didn't choose the 60d over the 600d, no real answer to it though...

What lenses have you got? IMVHO it may be a better idea to look at lenses rather than a new camera.

Go for the 7D just over £800 body only from HDEW and get a 15-85 lens for it.

If you're shooting landscapes and water/beaches scenery then there's no real advantage in the 60d over the 600. Save the money and put it towards lenses.

Why have you outgrown the 1000d? That might have an influence

If I where you, I would buy a used 40D and a 10-22. ;)

That's not as bad as it initially sounds. You'll have an excellent 10MP body which was almost faultless in it's day with features like live view and back button focusing and boasted a 6.5fps frame rate. Mated to a 10-22 the 40D will provide you with endless possibilities for scenic shots. Low light handling is from another era but ISO 1600 files if memory serves me are quite usable besides which low light won't exactly be a consideration since landscapes and eatery scenes are your main interest. In time you may decide to retain the 40D as a second body while you hunt down something more up to date.
