Hi all

In reference to Canon's new 50mp 5Ds & 5Ds R

If the low pass filter of the R version improves image sharpness so much why are they producing a version without it, can't be cost saving as both these two camera's are going to sell for stupid money, so what's with this low pass filter.

The 5DR will give greater detail than the 5DS but will exhibit more Moire patterns on certain things such as closely woven/patterned cloth or certain patterns in nature.
