Anybody considering jumping ship from the world of Canon 5D3 to Fuji XT2?

Particularly interested in any wedding togs planning such a move.

Not much use to you, and not a wedding tog, but I've just moved from Nikon D750 (before that 5D3) to XT1 and in a couple of days XT2.

In short it depends what you need and shoot - if you need really shallow depth of field - ie 1.2 or 1.4 then no crop is going to help you, if however you;re shooting anything 1.8 up and you'll be good.

Before the body I would take a look at the lenses and see if they're going to fit you needs - the body will from what I can tell, certainly the XT1 is very good, no telling what the XT2 will be like with the improved AF and larger pixel count (so improved cropping). So far the only thing I see really missing from their lineup is a true macro - the 60mm is a 2:1 which will probably be good enough for most people anyway, but given how good the EVF/LCD is converting a manual macro would probably yield as good if not better results.

I'd also look to see if the flash options are something you can work with. When I had the XT1 it was TTL on camera but no TTL options off camera. And the on camera flashes were relatively low powered.

The soon to be available Fuji EF X500 flash should address those woes by offering wireless TTL.
I think it would involve having more than one flash for TTL but then a wedding shooter is likely to have multiple speedlites anyway.
What i do wonder though is if the new fuji flash can control 3 groups, will it be able to control for example 3 groups of Yongnuo YN560IVs in manual mode.

I reckon there will be some folk out there that will jump ship and rock the following if not already doing so-

Pair of XT2s
16-55mm f2.8
50-140mm f2.8
35mm f1.4
56mm f1.2
Pair of EF X500 flashes

Have they fixed all the annoying little things of the XT1, like no flash in silent mode and there's a few others.

That'd be a nice setup (although yet to try an XT2)
