Edit My Images
No
I am using a CF card and an sd in the MK3, when I have doe a shoot I have tried to delete the images in the camera, after using the delete it says no images, they have gone from the sd card but are still on the CF, I cannot seem to find the second card in the camera to delete the images, am I missing something simple here ? I can delete the images of the CF card via the computer but have always done it in camera on my 50D, liked doing it that way.

Any help gratefully received.

I'm out at the minute so can't tell you how but there is a function to change what card you are viewing in the menu

As Stuart suggests, you need to be viewing from the CF card to delete those images.

Your current setup is probably viewing the SD card, so when you delete, it deletes images on the SD card only.

Using the quick menu, go to the cards icon, and move the top wheel, that should change from viewing SD to CF. If it doesn't try the back wheel lol.

Rather than deleting would it not be better and easier to format?

I have heard that formatting is less likely to cause issues that deleting via the computer, but who knows. I just find it a lot faster to format the cards so that is my main reason.

Always format (ideally in camera), rather than "delete all". This avoids fragmentation of the storage space on the card.

Should you ever need to recover images, fragmented storage space can defeat even the most advanced image recovery programs. Some images are likely to remain corrupted by slices of other images.

If a card is formatted before each re-use, complete image recovery is generally possible after accidental deletion of images or formatting of the card.
