As per title, just wondering if anyone has this setup as i have the camera and I'm thinking of getting the lens as ive no mid range zoom
Is it a match made in heaven????

I'm quite interested too.

Photozone.de has a rather damning review of that lens (a bad copy?) and that has caused quite a bit of controversy on their forums... The best way to find out is to try it out. One is certain - it is cheaply made and has relatively slow non-USM AF.

I have this combo and it's my main do-all set up.

I like it and have no complaints with AF speeds or IQ. You could do a lot worse!

I use it really as a backup to my 24-105 which is faster despite the f4 aperture.

THe tamron is a nice lens for the money though.

Would recommend it for the money. Was perfectly happy with the one I used for the day before an offer for a 24-70L came up, still got it as a backup lens and I know I can use it to get the shots if needed.

I used to have the 5d2 & Tamron and had no issues with the IQ but found the focus could be slow when trying to get moving targets such as skate boarders , BMX so i upgraded to the Canon 24-70mm - if i didn't need the quicker focus i'd go back to the Tamron and spend the freed up cash on something else

The Tamron, 5D (I have the mk I - well for now, its for sale) is a great combo.

Here are a couple with that combo:
