I don't rely on magazines in Tesco; does your problem involve reading, magazines. Tesco or all or part of the above? There are no reviews of this camera in the magazines, there are no reviews of this camera on the internet. That probably means there are very few production units of this camera. The only examples that exist of its output are moving pictures. Why no stills? There seems to be something wrong. It may get fixed.

im tracking my canon 5d mk2 being delivered by DHL....its just arrived at the east midlands distribution depot for delivery tomorrow.

im just hoping it arrives in good shape...i hate these parcel carriers as they are not too carefull with the packages at depots

I've ordered from bentonvillemall website.
Got an email today saying mine would now be sent friday for delivery tuesday.
I threatened to cancel, but will wait to see if he does actually send it tomorrow.

The fact that yours is on the way gives me some hope.

they sent me a tracking DHL number today & im tracking it now so it must be on its way
 
i think they know me by now i have been in constant touch since i ordered it via Email

I think its the fact that Tesco are only likely to stock a few camera mags and the ones that sell will be consumer ones. They may do a 5d2 test but it won't be as good as one of the more specialist mags. Oh and there are plenty of images around from it. Its how people know about the black spots issue.

Assuming it's much the same as the 50D, then yes - the whole idea is to correct slight front or back focus position, up to 20 + or - steps. You can register calibration changes for up to 20 lenses. The manual says any lens and doesn't specify Canon lenses particularly.
 
i was under the impression it was Canon only!

I'm fairly certain it works with 3rd party lenses, the settings stored are just based on the ID the lens reports itself as, probably the same reason why you can't store different settings for 2 copies of the same lens. Of course I don't have a 3rd party lens to test with but I think if it didn't work it would have been well documented by now.
 
IT'S HERE....just arrived via DHL took a few pics of it fitted with my 50mm 1.4 prime ....crappy iphone pictures but you can make them out....just gotta wait for the battery to charge now

almost bought one from a supplier in the far east, would have been kewl to have it first :D, alas £££ well ran dry. i would hate to have bought one on order though!
 
it is silver...the iphone did'nt pick it up & its very gloomy weather where i am

It's because they're shiny silver like a mirror, not just silver paint. If the camera is angled at something dark, they look dark.

I can't believe I just spent the time to check that out ...

those pictures were taken with an iphone the quality is junk...i can tell you its far from plastic feels very substantial in the hand with a rubberized grip & the 5D MARK11 LOGOS are bright silver

you will get it if you have a number....i love it to bits already but its too dark to have a play now...just shot a bit of video with it & it looks very very good
