Some of the complaints
“No audio in C modes unless I set my audio levels in one of the “creative” modes (M, Av, Tv, ) first and then go into my C mode of choice. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a C mode if I have to go to another mode first…”

“I have found the same thing. It only seems to work if you move from one of the other creative modes to a Custom mode. If you turn the camera OFF, then go to a Custom mode, turn the camera back ON, and then try to record Manual audio, you will get signal levels on your meters, but no audio is recorded.”

Hope this helps some people.

Good spot Tommy.

I have upgraded but have not got around to trying the new movie features yet, it is not something I bought the camera for.

It sounds pretty basic and strange that they did not notice during testing, has all the hallmarks of being rushed out to meet market expectations.

Cheers,

Paul

This wasn't rushed out.
Canon have been working on it for some time and even announced the update weeks ago.
I've read elsewhere there may be other issues.
This is totally unacceptable.

Someone needs sacking. :bang:
