Just purchased a 580exll, my what a lot of power compared to 430exII. Not the cheapest of things but glad I got it. Any good tips out there? O and a off camera cord my, now they are not cheap.

EBay is your friend for off camera cord. I went with a 3 meter version think I paid about 18 quid.

I have an ST-e2 for off camera flash over short distances - about 10m in a straight line of 5m if off to the side, but then it can trigger the 430 and 580 for off flash stuff.
Any longer and I use the RF602's and control the flashgun power manually.
