Canon 550 D and magic lantern problem

I have a Canon 550D and since I have had it, sometimes taking photos is a lot harder. I have to press the button a lot harder, if I press it like before I get "Take pic or release half shutter".
The sensitivity seems to have decreased a lot.
 
Can you expand a bit on the relationship with magic lantern please, is this happening after you installed ML?
 
Two options really

Its a sticky shutter release-likely as the problem sounds mechanical/electronic

Its Magic Lantern-possibly software but unlikely

Either uninstall ML and see if that solves the problem, or google sticky shutter release-there is a fix somewhere that involves pouring Iso Propyl Alcohol into the shutter release mechanism.

Alternatively ring Canon in Elstree
