Canon 50mm f1.4 vs Canon 85mm F1.8

OK, quick update, Gone for the Canon 50mm f1.4

I cant argue with the fact that the 85mm lens is a very nice lens, but feel I have that range covered with my 70 - 200. It was a very difficult decision (for me lol ) lets hope I made the right one. Will let you know very soon!

I don't think you'll regret it, it's a lovely lens. When I go back through my favorite photos so many of them were made with that, especially portraits. Just watch the front element - don't rest the camera on it when it's extended (e.g. if you put it in to a bag lens down). I always leave a hood mounted on mine now to protect it.

Oh right, mine comes with a hood and will stay on the lens at
all times, as do my other lenses. Thanks for all your advise and helping me choose the right lens! Lol

Love this lens!

Two snaps straight from camera.
