I paid not short of that for a secondhand one a few weeks ago! That's a serious bargain for anyone thinking of getting one!

I practically kept them afloat over Christmas, cds, dvds, xbox games...

All fine no problems, not the same value of the goods as this but, so far so good...

Very tempted, but i'm going to carry on saving for the 7D and I also have an irrational hatred of CF cards with all those little pins that bend far too easily

Should add that Play.com have never given me any bother, bought a couple of dearer items with no problems

7D uses CF cards so you might wanna make peace not war with CF :)
 
Play are spot on, except when they sell out of something and keep you on backorder for ever, used to have a mate in Jersey who worked there.

Very tempting price, do I need another 50D body?

Why did I think it had dual slots, senility is probably the answer so thanks for that

Oh well my second choice the Pentax K7 uses SD, made my mind up for me

no idea, but the dual slot would be the only addition to this wonderful camera!!
 
That's one hell of a bargain. I paid £750 for mine a few months ago.
 
Good price! I'm sure that now the 550D is out we'll see more and more 50Ds at a price like this.

@Tijuana; so your choice of camera really comes down to what memory cards it takes? Wow, that really is an irrational hatred of CF!! :lol:

Actually you're not the only one who thought the 7D was dual slot :thinking:

Apart from hating the crap design of CF cards it would also cost me a small fortune to replace my SD cards like for like

Just realised the 300s now has dual cards, another contender for my money

Haven't got a very expensive collection of lenses so it all comes down to a camera that meets the usual criteria and all feel ok to hold, so why not use the card issue as a decider,

you can get pretty fast SD 2 CF converters, simply slot your SD card into your CF card :) problem solved :)
