CANON 50D ERROR 50

Hi

I am getting dreaded error 50 since this evening and the camera seems to try to do something with the shutter whenever i turn the camera on/ off or do anything with it.

Do you think my shutter has gone bad?

Can you suggest any good camera repair companies in the maidenhead area?
