Yeah, I've just seen that too. Bargain it's almost £100 cheaper than any other store..
 
Its really cheap!

Mick, Canon do a 50mm L but it is F1.2 and costs over a thousand.

serves me right for hesitating, had a quick look at the reviews and when I went to reserve it, well it had gone. Now I have to hop over to Carlisle in the morning for mine :bang:

gives me a chance to get a few shots off on the way back though :thumbs:
 
This is a great bargain.Reserved mine for store pickup - West Sussex.Let's see if I get a text when the product is available at store.Fingers crossed.

You can also order it for free home delivery - 10 day wait & may get canceled if huge demand.

No stock in Edinburgh shops
 
I'm guessing demand will be huge. Still a few around in the shops if you hunt carefully!
 
Hmm that's something I didn't really need, but rude not to at that price.. Have gone for home delivery though so might get cancelled :S

No stock showing for home delivery but still managed to place an order, fingers crossed.
 
The Discount book was in with 5DII and 7D Bodys sold in Dec2010/Jan2011

It has a wedgeof coupons of lens ranging from the 50 1.4 to the 70-200 2.8 (Coupons are for between £25 off and £100 off depending on lens)

Lens needs to be purchased between 1st Feb and 30th April 2011, Maximum 4 lenses per body purchased and coupons redeemed as cashback direct from Canon UK

Picked mine up from Loughborough,

Was a cabinet display model but seems fine.

Dosent seem to be a store left in the country with one now, (Friend wants one, has ordered for Home delivery but not sure they will honour those!)
 
I've got one reserved. I'll probably get it tomorrow so I can take a friend with me shopping as she has the day off. I'd feel like it's a wasted journey if I travelled a 60 mile round trip for one item lol.

Closest one to me is a 100 mile each way drive away, and no home delivery option...
Not sure if the saving is worth that with 2 ill kids to take along so have tried for the home delivery option in 10 days - Hmm, we will see...

What are peoples thoughts on them honouring home delivery orders? Being as they currently show as out of stock.
 
They told me just there now that they are expecting delivery in 10 days and will honour ALL orders at sale price! Does anyone have any instock in a local store near them? I would pay delivery of course.

I had to drive to Carlisle for mine but I suppose it was worth it. when I spoke to the lad in Jessops about the price they were selling them for, he said he had to check the price "twice" just to make sure there was no mistake :lol:

they only had the one lens left in the shop this afternoon and I took it home with me :thumbs:

TBH I only bought it because it was so cheap, couldn't resist a bloody bargain like that, now will have to change my camera bag in My TP :lol:
 
Picked mine up from Cirencester today... big gap in the display where the lens shoudl have been with a price tag of £309.95! No hassle buying and with the 5DII purchase in November I'll be taking advantage of the £25 rebate... this is an insane bargain :thumbs:

In all the rush last night to reserve one I ended up reserving 3 at different stores as I didn't know where we would end up going shopping

I picked mine up in Newbury today - what a great price :thumbs:

So if anyone on here would like one I can let you have the reservation code. I have a code for Maidenhead and High Wycombe, first one to pm can have the code - they are reserved until Tuesday 8th Feb
 
Hopefully they'll honour the one I reserved when I go to pick it up tomorrow. But if they dont it's stopped me from spending money so not all bad. ;)
