I`m after a link for a good LCD screen protector for my Canon 40D, ive seen a few on ebay but its hard to know which are decent and which are useless.

If you could recommend one that would be great. Thanks

What's wrong with your other TP account?

You are only permitted one account on talkphotography.co.uk. If you are found to be using multiple accounts, then all relevant accounts may be banned.

The screen you see on the back of the camera is a protector screen. It is not the LCD screen itself. I have yet to notice a scratch on the original screen of my 30D (2.5 years old), 40D (1.5 years old) or 50D (~0.5 years old). If you scratch the oringal screen it costs around £15 to have it replaced.

Personally I'd save my money.

Thanks Todd, thats fair enough then. So things like this are a waste of money ?

I don't use a protector and I've never scratched a screen yet. I think these things are bound to affect the brightness of the screen anyway?

Wouldn't use one either.

As been pointed out above, they're cheap to replace and the protectors probably cost about the same as buying a new screen..

In my opinion extra protectors are a waste of money. You'd basically be adding a protector on top of an existing protector. I am reasonably careful with my kit and not accident prone, touch wood, so my protectors still look as good as new without any further protection. Maybe other people are less fortunate.

I've got screen protective film on mine, which is £4.99 for 2.

Thanks again Todd, that clears it up for me. A further LCD screen protector isn`t required as its pointless protecting a protector.
