Canon 40D repairs SW England

Just found this website. We are having problems with Canon 40D and Canon 580EX and 580EX II flash unit not working together. Bought Mk II flash thinking the problem was the other flash unit but same problem. 40D is out of warranty period and we need it back fairly quickly. Anyone recommend a repair service in SW England? - also anone else had same problem? Many thanks

check for firmware updates on the 40d (google it) - it will tell you what the updates do.

check the hotshoe contacts on the camera, the switch can sometimes stick ( so i've read)
