Canon 40D intrested

Does anyone know if you can get it yet? from a shot or that? and how much does a 5D go for? about the same as a new 40D?

Not out in the UK yet, but some shops are indicating that they will have it 1st week september.

Alternativley it can be had from some UK sellers on ebay.

thanks for the quick reply I'm freeking out at the moment because I've got GB v Holland (basketball) on saturday night and I need another body!!

5Ds go for about £1500 I think, the 40D looks like its going to be around £800-1000

The cheapest 5D on the bay that I've seen so far has been around 1250. Nice price, but the new 40D will come in waaaaay under that.

Unless you need full frame, the 40D (or even the 30D) should do you well, no?
