Following on from this thread, http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=393656 Ive now come to the conclusion that its the hotshoe on my 40d that is giving me grief...
I tried the flash on a 400d and it worked everything, cleaned my 40d hotshoe with and old dry cloth and the flash has been firing since.
Has anyone else had issues with the cameras hotshoe in the past?
