Canon 40D Cashback

I just bought my 40D at the start of the month :bang:

I bought mine at the start of the month also, utter tripe.
 
Yep, and me. Wouldn't have worked out any cheaper though. It would have just meant that I could have supported a British supplier.

they used to be £100 cash back, though.
I thought i was getting £30 quidco too from jessops but i dont see that its tracking.

Could Canon be doing some stock clearing for the launch of a new model???

Yes, but is it £50 or £60? (We got £100 back on both the 40Ds we bought a few months ago).
 
the site does differ from £50 to £60, on checking the details they confirm that the cashback is £60 or 75Euro's.

Wonder if thier heading for a September / October launch? as far as i can gather and if past trends apply, Canon shouldn't be releasing a 40D upgrade until next year...

Raise a ticket enquiry.

Make sure you add all the details, or it'll get thrown back £30 is a lot of money for some people! Specially me! that's an evenings work!

My mobile phone didn't track either. I put an enquiry against it for them to chase it up (IIRC you have to wait quite a while before you can do this) and got my cashback ... after 11 months!

The same thing happened to me earlier this year... I bougth a 40D and only just missed out on the Cashback.

I did manage to claim it for my Speedlite 580... but I've not got the cheque back in the post yet...

I'm still waiting, and i sent my cashback forms off at the beginning of july.. :/

And my dad seemed to have shredded the part you print off and keep with the referance numbers on, so i can't chase it up...

Canon should have sent you an email confirming receipt of CB claim and given you a submission ID and reference, IIRC should start with a W and the ID is your email address
 
Well it's been quite a few weeks since I sent off for my Cashback... and the 20 days they said it would take to process has long since passed... I phoned them up earlier this week and all they told me was that it was still being processed and that there was a backlog... I politely reminded them that they had said it would take 20 days and then asked for a time frame as to when I would get the cheque from them... They told me that they had no idea...
 
I've been waiting 4 months for my cashback !

My REF on canon site just says "processing"

I dont think I will fall for that trick again! as usually you can fine the "lower" price matched elsewhere
 
So here's the latest update...

I phoned Canon up yesterday... they told me to wait another 20 days... :bang:
