Cant seem to find something really in depth for canon 400D , the manual is very basic in nature.
I just cant seem to click good pictures , could really do with some good training, particularly a good explanation on the modes.
quick read of manual will tell you all you need to know about modes then go out and take few pics you'll soon pick it up. after few days read manual again it will be much clearer... stick to av, tv or even p after a few days using these modes you'll soon figure out what 'M' is used for. go to local park spend an hour or 2 on each mode shoot in jpg you will get more shots.. dont worry if good or bad or even subject. get stuck look at auto mode find out settings then try manual mode adjust to suit. worked for me lol
Thats pretty much what I have been doing, I took masses of totally rubbish pictures but between 2 books and the manual I have finally started to get the hang of setting things up. Not tried the M mode yet, but I have graduated to using tv yesterday I even got better pics with my settings than when I took a few with the preset modes to compare
Its hands on experience that helps the most. When I first got my DSLR, I read tons of books, didnt make much sense at all at them time. Its actaully playing with the settings yourself that worked best for me
