Its not such a beast, i use it as a walkabout lens attatched to a 40D slung over my shoulder.
Its a grand combo, and i will reccomend Kerso as a source.
I also recommend Kerso, his service is absolutely superb but I enquired about prices for a couple of lenses and he couldn't match the UK. May be different re the 100-400 though.
