Canon 350D - no focussing sound / wont take pictures

Hi Guys,

My canon 350d won't take any pictures. I was taking photos down by the water and getting the misty effect so adjusted the shutter speed. Now it won't let me take any photos at all - not even on other program settings such as landscape or manual etc.

Putting the camera to M or AF on focus won't even make it work.

I have tried clearing all the settings and functions in the settings etc and cleaning the sensor but nothing.

Help please I was hoping to take photos in the next few hours.

2 things to try, 1 take battery out and replace, 2 if you can get onto menu, full reset.
One or the other always worked on my 350d.

thankyou thankyou!!!! I done everything but a battery pull and then done a reset! working perfectly now!
