Canon 350D - Need bigger lens

Hi,

I have the Canon 350D on which I have the standard lens and I also have a 300mm lens too. I have been asked to do a fashion show for a magazine in scotland and fancy getting a bigger lens. Also I was wanting this new lens to be good for doing portrait shots and stuff aswell as my standard lens is very small and doesnt look too professional.

Any idea on what to go for?

As in bigger, I meant like looks bigger on the camera, like you say to fit in more. I have a small lens at present and also a 300, so I don't have anything like in the middle, so was hoping someone could help me out with a lens that would take good up close photos for like portraits and also the same lens hopefully would be able to take good photos of people like coming down a catwalk or so, and also forgot to mention I have 3 weddings booked too, so it would help if it would be good for that too.

what's your budget, a Canon 24-105mm F/4 L would probably do, it'd certainly look impressive on a 350D it can be bought new for £600 at the moment which is roughly what they make second hand usually
 
Yes - had a 24-105 on my old 400D and it was fine in terms of balance.
