Canon 350d help please

for some reason, even though my camera is set to RAW, the pictures are being saved and displayed as JPG files. This has started to happen over the last week or so, i haven't changed anything on the camera, if fact hardly use it at the moment, so why does it save some as RAW, and some as JPG, strange.

It depends on which mode you are in, the basic zone modes will default to JPEG but you are able to select RAW in the creative zone modes.
