I am going to see a 30d on sat and have forgotten totally how to find the shutter count on this model...the seller is stating 6k camera looks mint but I need to passify myself.....If anyone caould poss explain it to me I would be grateful

6k is probably a total nonsense unless they've never used it.

Don't worry about it at all, particularly on such an old and cheap camera. You want one that was used regularly, just not insanely much. Some will carry on for many years to come, some fail just after 1000-2000 shots. It's a lottery. As long as you can take a clean shot at 1/8000s whithout any issues it is fine. Better make sure it is not dropped, been in the water or Afghanistan

I don't believe there is anyway of checking the shutter count on the 30d so you'll have to take his word for it. Buy in a combination of condition and gut instinct if it feels right it probably is but if you get that dodgy feeling from the seller then walk away.

Plenty of 30d's out there looking for a new home

Well I did buy it as I believ that the shutter count will be as stated as the Camera is totally unmarked and was a bargain as it came with a grip for £120.Senor is as clean as the day it came from the factory.Having had my 7 d stolen last year and been without a proper camera it was a sheer delight this weekend to use....Yes i do fully agree with everyone it is slow in one way BUT hey ho one happy tog again.....now the fun beggins getting some proper 2.8 lenses again
