I’ve got one of the above, and am “considering” using one of the teleconverters with it, namely the 2x... does anyone have any real life feedback as to how this goes? Very happy with the lens, sharpness seems pretty good. Just enjoying the thought of a 600mm 5.6...

It would only be a 400mm f5.6,I have one and use 2x with it,it does lose a bit of sharpness but I find it acceptable,it becomes a very small, handy 400mm for carrying about.

Sorry, I'm taking the 1.6 crop factor in to it! Nice picture!! Do you find its still plenty sharp then?
 
Is that the canon 2x one you've used?
