Canon 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

I'm preparing to sell some of my Canon bodies and lenses as i move over to mirrorless.(not decided what too yet)

Found a Canon 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens in the back of a cupboard, minty, never been used by me lol, it's very heavy and well built.

Not a lens i see mentioned a lot, do any members own it or have owned one?

Is it any good?

Average I think is the word! Everything you would expect from a lens of it's kind not really sharp wide open and soft in the corners ok once stepped down but still not fantastic!

Shame because it feels like a quality bit of kit.

I had one and used it on a 35mm film body and on a Canon 20D and a 5D. I found it to be quite adequate with lens corrections applied but without I found it to display distortion beyond what we'd expect from a more modern lens. I'm not sure it'd be too useful on a mirrorless camera.
