Canon 1D MkIII Owners Info / Help need

Hi all
This is my first post so please be gentle with me :wave:.

I've just purchased a Canon 1D MkIII from Jessop’s (Sat), upon getting it home and feeling like a little child at Christmas i found the camera had been used:nono:, the box was sealed as normal at the top so they must have taken it out the bottom!
It had defiantly been used as it still had the card inside with 10 to 12 photos of the shop and various people in the shop on it.:shake:
I rang them to complain as i was pretty hacked off, the guy at Jessop’s apologised and said they would get me another one in and said they were very sorry.

I received a call this morning to go and swap it over with the one i have.
Now my question too people that have a 1D MkIII is this, did yours come with the see through plastic cover / protector on the screens as they were missing to off this one, I want to check the new one before i leave the shop this time as I recon the other one had been used as a demo (7000+ shots on the counter).

What a great forum this is too I might add, I only came across it a couple of weeks ago and it has given me lots of new idea's, and I dare say cost me a lot of money!.:'(:lol:

I can't recall whether there was or not TBH, but I don't think so. If I were you, I'd make sure that I took it out of the box rather than a member of staff. If its been used as a demo there will be finger marks on it, for sure, even after a wipe down with an oily rag. :D
BTW I'm sure you are going to love it, its a wonderful camera and I wouldn't part with mine. :)

don't think mine had screen protectors either
 
Not on mine as I recall. I've since added a set of three off fleabay to protect the screens.

I picked mine up, brand new, from Jessops on 3rd Jan. There were no protective stickers on any of the camera displays.
 
I was in a hurry to try mine out I dont remember it having protector on it.
 
Definitely no protector on my 1 Ds III.
 
no canons come with protectors, that's mainly nikon trait :)
 
Thanks again for the replies guys, i collected the new one yesterday:)
All was ok with this one, the manger didn't want to sort me a deal on a memory card though for all the inconvenience!
They offered me 15% off an 8gb card which would have made it £7 cheaper, I didn't bother as you can get them cheaper from 7 dayshop even with there 15% off !!:coat:

To say I wasn't happy would be an understatement, i had to have the afternoon off work to go and get it and it cost £3 to park the car for 15 mins, the offer they mad me was rubbish, I'll not be going back after this :nono:
