Canon 1D mk111 or 5D

What would you think would be the better camera to buy, The 5D or the 1D Mk 111, the camera will be used for portraits, family photo's, weddings, a little bit of landscape and some slow and fast sports,

can anyone tell me the difference between the full frame of the 5D to the 1D MK 111 and is this a major factor in which camera i buy.

can you use EFS lenses with the 1D? I know you cant with the 5D and 1Ds as they are full frame, but I was just wondering.
