Hi - my OH has just got a Canon 1300d / 18-55 IS II kit and is wondering if she can use the camera's wifi function to get her shots from the camera to her computer without having to plug in the usb lead each time. She has managed to get the camera connected with her phone to wirelessly view photos on her camera (she likes this as she can easily share them on facebook!) but there seems no way to get the photos from the camera to her computer over wifi. Have any other 1300d owners figured this out?
Thanks

Once they're on the phone there are many ways to get them out of there. I would use Flickr auto upload or Google photos to put them in the cloud then later download them on the PC.

It's probably not worth it and it may not transfer full res files (or even RAW) best taking out the card and transferring that way.

I think that the canon android app converts the RAW to JPG rather than saving the original file to the phone - I sort of just assumed the camera would show up as a network drive once the camera was connected to the wifi but Canon obviously thought this would be far too sensible an idea lol

I think it only connects via wi-fi through Canon's iOS or Android app. Once set up on an ipad for example (like my wife users hers), transfer is very quick and it does transfer full res. If you have an Android device you can use the NFC functionality as well,
