Have a poke around places like Currys, PC World and Comet for clearance stuff - I picked up a new E-3 for £499.97, a 35mm Macro for £49.97 and a 12-60mm SWD for £450.
Just spoke to 'her indoors', and she's said I should buy the one with the 2 lenses. Then if I decide I can't justify the money when it turns up I'll just sell the 55-250mm lens
