Canon 1000D

Goto Kerso for a new one. Or get one from the for sales section on here. I would sooner get a 450D or 500D than the 1000D model.

dont know then and its not new its a REFURBISHED one
New from Kerso is 1000d 18-55mm IS kit £349 & 10 postage.

Why they've stuck +4GB in big letters all over the place I don't know; not as if the inclusion of a 4GB SD card suddenly turns the standard kit into an enhanced all-inclusive starter package, you could get your hands on a 4gig card for a fiver.

Is this the absolute tops for your budget, daydream? Like Chaz says, Kerso is charging only £50 more, and with that you get, if not a UK warranty, a warranty that can be used in the UK which lasts for a year. I notice these guys are only offering a 90 day warranty; I'd rather pay a bit more for the peace of mind.

:agree:kerso it a trusted seller on tp, a great camera to start off with.

I took the risk and bought one off ebay only to find the body and lens were faulty  luckily i got a refund .

Not worth the risk or trouble for the little saving .

:)

Ditto. In fact, it looked like they had sent me one that had already been returned for repair/replacement. They replaced it with no issues, but only after I (or, more accurately, my employer) had paid for the return of the faulty one. In the end it would have been cheaper to get one from Kerso.

Hi, new here but just to throw it into the mix I just picked up a 1000d kit (with the IS lens) from the canon refurb shop on ebay. Got it for £300. Ok it's a refurb but you get a full years uk warranty with it. Just in case you really can't stretch the £50 extra for a new one.
