Canon 100 F2 vs Canon 100 F2.8 for Macro

Hi all,

The Canon EF 100 F2 USM & the Canon 100 F2.8 USM (non IS) both look good quality at good prices. Anybody used either or both for macro? Is there much of a difference between them? Any recommendations?

100mm F2 is not a macro lens and therefore will only work for macro if you add extension tubes. Dedicated macro lens is always better.
