Hi Everyone.
I hope someone can help !. On saturday at the Southport Airshow, I erm..DROPPED my camera. A canon 400D, with the 100-400 stuck on the front of it ...OUCH
. the lens (which was my main concern) seems to function ok, although the zoom function (push and pull) is a bit stiffer from the 100mm to about the 300mm range and then it seems to free up? (think i've bent it) any advice on this would be helpful, or if you just want to say what a twonk i am, then i would be happy to hear from you. But my reason for posting is that i am getting error 99 on the back of the camera when i try to take a shot. After the clumbsy oaf (me) dropped the camera, it worked ok for about another hour, then it started giving me the code, the shutter would activate, but there would be no image stored. Since coming home i have been able to dump the images from the CF card via the camera to a PC. I have wiped and formatted the card (sandisk extreme 111 )but i was still getting the code. tonight i have tried a different card (danelec), removed the battery pack and put only 1 battery in the camera. I am still getting the code but not every time i shoot.I have tried shooting in auto, indoors with flash.the flash pops up and the flash strobes to assist the AF but the shots, when i dont get the error code, are very dark, almost black. even in one of the creative modes with the flash exposure on +2, the shots are still the same. SOOOO...any advice you can give me will be great. hope to hear from someone soon. many thanks in advance, Bri
