just to let you all know that my cancer is back and is growing by the week i have been given approx a few months to live the cancer has spread all over, i was given 3 options severe treatment which could take my life earlier, tablets for 4 months which will only prolong it not cure it and let nature take its course my chances are slim as i am not in full recovery and they told me i am still weak and vunrable, so i guess what i am saying is my life is over i will miss you all as everyone is very nice here, i will be trying to sell some things to pay for my funneral as i got the cost of nearly £3000 i am now just living day to day. :'(

Edit. Didn't know what to say at first but I think Jimmy said it well. We all have to go sometime, it might be tomorrow, next year or in ten years, and as sad as it is, the best all of us can hope for, is that we are surrounded by loved ones and that it is as pain free as possible. May your god be with you Shell.

I know a smiley seems a bit lame in the circumstances, but I don't have any better words for it.

If you want to vent or just have a shoulder to cry on outside of immediate friends / family I'm happy to chat via PM.

For now, I hope you get the most out of every minute of every day and that they're as pain and stress free as possible.

I'm so sorry to hear this Michelle. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you are able to enjoy what life you have left and that you do not suffer.I nursed my partner with cancer and we were able to keep his pain under control.If you want to talk any time just send me a PM.

I recovered many years ago - but I still remember

be with your loved ones - spent as much time as you can outdoors -- sunshine and wind will bring you some peace

I'm really sorry to hear about your cancer coming back

I really hope this doesn't sound crass as I don't know your personal circumstances but don't spend £3000 on a funeral, if it's as bad as you say and there's no hope, if you're up to it spend £2500 on something you've always wanted to do and £500 on the funeral

I'm sure your family would sooner have fond memories of a last holiday than a funeral
 
Sorry to hear this awful news but Shell, give the tablets a go surely a prolonged life is a longer one.

Sod saving for the final day go out and enjoy your time left surrounded by your loved ones. To hell with the final bill they never leave anyone on top.
 
You know, I dont even know you, but really - my prayers are with you and I hope you live life to the max and will no doubt meet you one day :)

I'd like to think if something like that ever happened to me I'd go out disgracefully doing as many things as possible from my version of a "bucket list".
It's a good film about people in your situation, and it's funny but poignant.

Spend what ever you have left in time doing things with friends and family, live for the now.

Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero.

Make the most of every minute.

Leave lots of good memories with friends and family.

We all pass through here only for a short time. It's like walking along a beach - we leave footprints in the sand showing our presence but twice a day they are washed away. Don't let your footprints (memory) be washed away - get out there and enjoy every moment with friends and family.

Although we never have messaged each other here in TalkPhotography so I may be a complete stranger in your eyes but I can imagine the sadness and upset you are experiencing right now. As a result I do feel for you and I hope you do find the strength to cope with it all.
 
Such sad news and I'm so sorry, especially for your family. It must take some taking in. I hope you're surrounded by love and affection and have peace in your heart.

thankyou everyone for such kind words and thoughts i much appreciate it, my decesion is just to let nature take its course as it is more dangerous for me to take treatment as i might not last with the treatment due to not being fully recovered, so i would rather try and enjoy what time i have left with my hubby and friends and family i will miss you all as you have all been so kind. luv shell

Every time I get an email or or a text, every time I see her I will take a second to wish you well. I'm saddened to hear your news but remember you won't be forgotten.

We all leave a little footprint in lifes snow, yes the snow melts but we left that footprint for a time.

Remember too that whilst the internet is still around your flickr account leaves your stamp on existence.

I am so sorry. I bought a camera of you ages ago for my little brother - he really loves it, I will always think of you and the happiness you have given him, I wish you all the happiness and fulfillment you can get. As ha been been said, enjoy every moment to the full.
