Hi Folks, I have a wedding to shoot as a favour for my skint friend in September. Now I've been practicing like heck and working as a second at weddings in an attempt to make sure I don't cock it right up! So far so good.

But I'd really like to have a book printed for them as a pressie from the family. My stepdaughter is going to be bridesmaid :)

I'd also like to print another of my stepdaughter covering her first 5 years. Well, I figured it would give me something really good to embarrass her when she brings home her first boyfriend! lol.

I'm looking to spend about £100 on each and I'd like to be able to use one image as a wallpaper with another overlaid.

I've seen some photobox albums at wedding venues and I'm not totally enthralled at the quality.

So the question is, can you suggest any alternatives? :help:

Thanks.

Hi Ali, have a look at the Artemis range of albums from Loxley colour, I haven't ordered one yet but I have seen them and the quality is good. I think they have an offer on at the moment for 'sample' albums. ;)

They also do the Bellissimo Portfolio Album which might be a good alternative for your stepdaughter.

Thanks Colin, these look like traditional albums for mounting prints. I'm after a printed book.

Thanks though :)

Wrong! These are printed books as I use the Bellissimo range for my wedding albums and as I said I've seen the Artemis range and they are deffo printed books.

Have you considered the Mario Acerboni - Pano range?

You can print (digitally) the pages and spread across two page. Shut the book and it puts the folds in for you.

Superb items - and not too expensive either :)

Got a link for that one Lee? I couldn't see any pano products on the Acerboni site

They've not been released yet ;)

I'll have some on Thursday to display. They're fantasic products.

Come in 15, 20 or 30 pages. A 1" black mount throughout the book (its bookbound) - slide in your picture and away you go!

Based upon the recommendation of Irritable_Rabbit, I ordered a book from Yophoto, cost £40 for 56 images in a book 300x300 hardcover linen.
Software was easy to use and the finished product is impressive.
The quality of the prints is not up to photographic print standards and is certainly not up to "coffee-table" photography books standard.
However, for me to be able to tell the story of the day with text for each picture (if you want) I think that this will make a nice present in addition to the photographs of the day.

Wow! Thanks folks.

Apologies Colin, I thought they were mounted print albums, the blurb certainly reads like it!

I'll have a good look through the links later, once I have weeded the garden.

Priorities Bah! :)
