and i did consider the d3, but the price is too high for me *runs away and sobs*

Welcome to the club! I should have got that as my D3 box is sat about 5 feet away from me as I type :bonk:

Get pushing that ISO, here's one of the first shots I took with mine, and this is at 6400!

Hacker, if we do another studio session, don't bring the D3. It will turn into a canon.
Well done. As a canon user, I have to say, I wish I wasn't after seeing the results of the D3 (and D300) it's just ahead of the competition now. Canon only has the edge on pixels with the 1ds mk11/111, but the quality in the D3 can easily be interpolated.

BTW I'm hoping to book Digital Village studio for my own project in the middle of May.
 
I'm a Canonite and even I guessed what it was from the Box & Colin's description. Gee - you Nikonians are SLOW! :lol:

Really chuffed for you Colin - looking forward to seeing some shots. One question though - HOW long are you on washing up duty to make up for being allowed that new toy?! ;)
