Can this be saved

I took this image of a stunning Dogue de Bordeaux a week or so ago however this buy guy had an eye infection which looks quite bad, however i love the fact its running and looking athletic. Can anything be done by those more experienced in photoshop to save the image. I have other dogue de bordeaux`s that have their eyes in good condition.Can those be grafted over from one pic to another successfully. I can send full size images for anyone wanting to give it a try.


Should have said its more the upper and lower eyelid areas rather than the pupil itself.

You could cut and paste from the second "good eye" image you posted as they're quite similar in composition. Free transform and use the warp function. Very different lighting so you would have to do some blending work with some colour correction and possibly some D+B.

Probably easier to just clone around the area in original image using clone stamp set on lighten mode, sampling from the unaffected area. Give it a go!

Gave it a go with the clone stamp and it does look slightly better, willspend time on it later. Thanks..

It's a very good photo as is to my eyes. If you need to 'save' it I would try and copy the good eye over and the blend it in using dodge/burn etc.

Copied the eye from the other pic and pasted it into the new one...

My edit--kept the same eyes but tried to take away the puffy look and some of the puss around the eyes--didnt want to take it to far.
