Can someone Explain the 52 Week Competitions

I was thinking of Entering/Joining/Starting the 52 week Competition.

What I was wanting to know is this;-

Are there set theme weeks or can I set the theme? Can I just enter any picture for any week or is it best to work out a structure.

Sorry if this is a little jumbled or confusing, It's cos I am.

Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I am aware it is not a competition - it is more like the 365's where people choose to commit to producing a photo for crit a day - the 52 is a weekly version where a theme is chosen for you to attempt. I think you can also choose your own theme should you wish! Will try and dig out the thread!

that's basically it... the 52's are a photo a week for a year shot to a theme. There's a group of us using the same theme, and there's some very different interpretations coming out each week. And there's a few who are just shooting a photo a week of their own design. It's just not as hardcore as the 365... I know that Simon was going to be running another set of themes in the new year. Having been through one year of it, I have to say it's very good for getting to know the kit and getting creativity flowing. But it can be frustrating at times.

I would like to do the 52 week theme also.

I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction when the time comes.
