No
Or is it Apple's marketing ploy so users will upgrade?

don't think the chip is powerful enough to run it :(

Hackers were reportedly working on getting it ported over.

Siri used to be a downloadable app form the app store before apple bought them out

Just to point out that herbs developer has stated that the app version (which has been removed from the app store) was severely crippled due to lack of processing power, so I won't hold my breath for an iPhone 4 or 3GS version.

There won't be a version for 4 or 3GS, and it wasn't withdrawn because of lack of processing power.

If Apple allowed the app to remain they would have lost the only USP for the 4S.

Never said that it was removed because of a lack of processing power. The point I was making was that the app that used to be on the app store is not the same as what is running on the iPhone 4S. As stated someone has got it to run on a JB'd iPhone 4, but the article states that it does not run as fluently as on a 4S.

My guess is that it will be available on jailbroken phones in a while... I'm sure some of the developers had it on their phones. (not the 4S)

There's a free app available called Vlingo which is similar to Siri and works remarkably well.
