While on holiday in Canada a couple of weeks ago I took some pics of piles of stones (hard to describe, but they are based on Inukshuks) that people had made beside a footpath, and of course, being tourists, we made a couple too. I took pics of them but I had the camera set up wrong and they haven't come out too well. Would anyone be willing to give one a tweak for me so I have something to aim for and try doing the others myself. I feel kinda bad because I made them with my daughter, then took a crap pic of it :(

Opened in photoshop as a camera raw file
Chose auto for the white balance
Adjusted curves
Sharpened a little

I've just tried doing it myself but can't open anything in camera raw, it says there is a program error :( I take it to do some of these changes it needs to be in raw mode as I can't find the auto white balance setting...
 
I use "Open as" in CS4 and select camera raw from the drop down box.
When I used to use CS2 I recall using Preferences > File Handling and ticking something there so that it would open a jpg as a raw.

If you post your software and its version I am sure we can get you there :)
