Can I post famous photographers images on my site when doing a profile about them?

Why do you think that writing about them grants you copyright exemption?

There is also this fair use stuff, e.g. you might get away with it if you write about the works in an academic dissertation, but really not on a commercial website to draw traffic and generate sales.
