Hi,

I zoomed in a bit far on a couple of picture I recently took so when I crop it for printing I loose feet or heads, I used a white background and was wondering if there was a way to extend the background some how using CS4 extended????

If this dosn't make sense I can post a picture if needed.

Any help appritiated.

Thanks
Greg

you can try selecting the offending item and go round it, and then put white around it in photoshop. Tricky to do at all well mind, and time consuming.

Avoid it in future though - get the subject way away from the backdrop, and shoot with a tele lens - you don't want to be shooting white seamless with a wide lens really, think 70-200 rather than 17-55 :)

Simple. Assuming that its a pure white background anwyay.
Incrementally change the "Canvas Size" Image->Canvas Size (Alt Ctrl C). The popup window is, to me at least, fairly self explanitory. Just select how much in which directions and hit OK. You can select the colour to expand it by too

Image -> Resize -> Canvas Size

Anchor it to the bottom if you want it to add space to the top, or anchor it to the top if you want space on the bottom. If you want space all around, leave it anchored in the middle.

I think that's what your after?

Thank-you guys, works a treat:thumbs:
