I like this shot, I've cropped out some distractions on the left, tiny tweek on saturation and a slight sharpen. The crop for height was dictated by the mast on the first yacht. Cloned out a vapour trail also. Shall I leave it at that?

How does it look with the trees cropped on the LHS?

Minus trees,just a quick clone.
reflection still there.I like the last yacht so didn't crop.

That crop looks a little too heavy..

How about this?

Cropped to the edge of the tree, cloned remaining tree out and 1 boat that looked to close to the edge of the shot, cloned out the shadows/reflections as well.
It might benefit from that last bouy being cloned out as well.. just not sure on that myself.

Instantly it struck me that it needs tilting clockwise a little?

I think I liked the original (as in previous thread) better, the 'distractions' may have added a balance and width to the photo - all personal taste though.

Have to agree - the crops have lost the perceived 'depth' and balance the original has.

Very hard to see a horizon on this,I did tilt slightly right and it looked wrong.
It's the perspective of the boats I think.I'll have a play around later as two people have mentioned it.

yup - the horizon is definitely off. My "wonky-ometer" went off as soon as I saw it :naughty: great pic though, the kind of thing I'd hang on the wall.

You have a nice picture. This edit is just me passing time...

What a lovely image. I had a bash at seeing what I could pull out of the jpg...

Good idea Ulfric, it's not the tree itself but the fact it stands out so much.
Thanks again everybody for the nice words and advice.

Isn't that just the slope of the hills though?

The water level looks pretty much bang on level.

Nice image though, love the mist.

Mine too - and although you can't easily see the water level, the mirror image of the masts is a dead give-away.

BTW I love this shot, when I grow up it's exactly the kind of thing I'd like to put on the wall.
