Can anything be done.......?

I'm still very much a newbie here and at photography, so not really sure if i am qualified sufficiently to comment, but as much as I love some of the alternatives I personally still prefer the OP's original slant on this.

It seems very crowded if you ask me, maybe try it with a shallower depth of field?

isn't that putting a religious slant on it?

You take from art what you will, I see a set of angles you see religion. My art is for all and no ones heart felt opinion is wrong to me because I live for the art darling

I

Tried a HDR one, kinda works

I just had a thought and had to check.....thankfully, Dave has his edit box ticked, or we'd have all been in BIG trouble....;)

Sorry, wrong thread... can one of the mods move this to nudes and glamour please....

I hope when the 2010 comes to an end this is voted the best thread EVER. So much learnt in such a short time :)

My personal opinion - I reckon the OP went for a slash and that's the result.

I think the crop is too tight.. how about opening up a bit

I used the Zappa-filter to fill in the blanks, works a treat.

nice post...I luv landscapes with fences

/ ..it is a post? right?

I saw an identical one yesterday but the light was fading and it suffered from terrible camera shake from the long exposure time needed, and I didn't have a tripod handy.

Here is the result.

Andy was that a forward slash or a backslash

:D

A backslash is what happens when you are out on a very windy day and face the wrong way

This will remain the longest thread about nothing until a mod comes along and closes it :)

Is clearly the correct way to do it.

Not sure but I reckon you have over processed that one, clear signs of fringing and halo's on the edges:geek:

It might be better if it was on a 1/3.

Opened it in Photoshop and clicked something, not sure what I've done...

Best thread in a long time, you're all either drunk, mad or just plain mean. Brilliant.

Anyway, I'm no expert on this type of photography but I feel it my duty to try and help the op with his dilemma. I felt that the original, although it had merit, lacked a focal point in the foreground and so the eye wandered through the image with nowhere to settle, so here's my take on it.....

This, I think you will agree, adds depth to the image whilst allowing the main theme to shine through.

Cheers

Andy
