Can anyone identify this dishwasher part?

Hi all,
Found this in the drain in my dishwasher today,must be part of it because it was under the filter.
Does anyone know what it is and is it important?? Please excuse the dirty fingernails!!!

It looks like part of a Drain Utilisation Cleaning Kit.

Sorted! Turns out its part of the pump- it's a cover that comes off to allow cleaning of the pump fins- must have come loose somehow

It still looks like a duck.

as the wife is usually the dishwasher it could be part of a chastity belt ,perhaps a spring loaded circumsiser :arghh:
