not sure if this is in the right section or not but i have got some home studio lights (some cheap ones from jessops) consiting of 1 soft box and 1 white umbrella. I have had them since xmas. I really like the look of high key and low key photography but not sure where to position the lights or even how to use them tbh. I love taking pics of my kids but by the time iv set the lights up and taken some trail pics to make sure the exposure looks ok, the kids are getting rather fed up lol!
I know this is a long shot but does anyone know if theres anyone local to telford/shropshire that could spare a few hrs to help me out?
I took the city and guilds level 1 photography course last yr but that just showed me how to use the camera on manual settings which is great. I really want to do level 2 (think it covers studio work) but at £400 its abit pricey for me when i dont work!
I really would like to start up my own family portraits business in the future as its a dream of mine iv had for a while but i really dont know where to start.
any advice is more than welcome, emma.
